Yan Jun, style name Mancai (曼才), was an official of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. He was also the writer of Essay on Tides, which has disappeared over the course of history.
In Luo Guanzhong's historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Yan was one of the scholars of Eastern Wu who challenged Zhuge Liang to a debate when the latter was there to persuade Sun Quan to form an alliance with Liu Bei.
